Pacific Islands Biodiversity Youth Ambassadors
A new initiative that will connect Pacific Island youth and their communities, with other youth from across the islands, along with other National representatives, regional and global agencies who collectively play a role in decision making or shaping implementation of regional (including the Pacific Islands Framework for Nature Conservation and Protected Areas 2021-2025) and global Biodiversity targets and frameworks on the ground.
There has been a strong youth voice around Climate Change issues. However, the voice of Pacific island youth on Biodiversity issues has not been loud or clearly heard in regional and global forums.

The Pacific Islands Biodiversity Youth Ambassadors initiative, kicking off at the Pacific Islands Nature Conference seeks to take strides towards strengthening the voice of youth at the biodiversity table at this event, and future regional and global forums.
Our team of Ambassadors will also help to promote the 10th Pacific Islands Nature Conference and feedback the latest news and innovation in their community. We want them to be the face of the Conference and build relationships with local stakeholders and media to accelerate the vision of this Nature Conference.
